Happy 4th of July!

We had a nice 4th of July on Sunday! Our church asked veterans and soliders currently serving to wear their uniforms to church. It was nice to see Nick in his dress greens again:) We decided it was a great opportunity to take a family picture. Abigail did a great job of looking at the camera and smiling. Something she was not doing the day before.
In the evening we went to Harrisburg to see the fireworks. Some people in our neighborhood were going to be shooting off fireworks but Nick and I wanted to go downtown and see what the city does for the 4th. We sat on the east shore and the fireworks were fired from the end of the island. We had perfect seats and got to enjoy the music festival that was going on all weekend. I got Abigail some ice cream and we walked around for an hour before the fireworks started. Since Abigail took a long nap, she was able to stay awake for the show and then had energy to play with the neighbors when we got back.

Abigail got some soft ice cream.

I had Abigail in a patriotic outfit and her hair is now long enough for ponytails on the side.

The weather was perfect!!! There were not a lot of bugs and the temperature was just right. We saw the sunset and enjoyed seeing all the boats on the river. Everyone was ready for the show!!
